The company, based in Spain, is involved in the development, production and marketing of polyester resins, polyester textiles and polymers. Its textile products are used in various end applications, including ladies' and men's clothing, sports clothes, household textiles and decoration, and articles for the automotive industry, among others. It was incorporated in 1995 and has its registered head office based in El Prat de Llobregat. The company also operates a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) production plant in Barcelona, Spain. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), its main product, is a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is used in various applications, including synthetic fibers; beverage, food and other liquid containers; thermoforming applications; and engineering resins often in combination with glass fiber. Polyethylene terephthalate is one of the most important raw materials used in man-made fibers. The company operates a subsidiary of La Seda de Barcelona S.A., a Spain-based company active in the production and marketing of plastics and textiles.
