It started in 2002 when Carlos Munoz y Lazaro Ros established a promotional society that financed the market studies and economic viability studies necessary for the company's project. It has a registered office located in Barcelona, Spain. It has a fleet of 14 aircraft, which has a capacity of 180 passengers for each. The company's routes include flights between eight Spanish cities, as well as to locations in Portugal, the Balearic Islands, Italy, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. It is recognized by European consumer's organizations in Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Portugal as the leading Spanish airline. The company is part of APX Partners Europe Managers Ltd. Its first headquarters is located in Panama Street (Barcelona). The company's first commercial flight (Barcelona-Ibiza) took place in July of 2004. The original fleet was comprised of two new A320's and the daily routes offered flights from Barcelona to destinations like Paris, Brussels and Ibiza. In addition, the company's main airports include Alicante, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Granada, Lisbon, Madrid, Malaga, Palma, Minorca, Milan, Rome, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia and Venice.
